what's going on.

I'm just going to tell you whats happening around here. So I spent the night at the cousins house, and they have a mouse problem. I was down stairs, reading a book. JJ and Fall called for me, so I went up stares. When I got there there was a little brown and white thing sitting on the floor. "It's a gerbil!" said Fall. It was not a gerbil, it was a mouse. Fall had never seen a brown mouse before, all the ones she had ever seen were gray.  So she thought it was a gerbil. We discovered it was a live when I poked it with a pencil and it bit the pencil. I put a cup over it, then grabbed a plastic box and forced the mouse in to that. After a little while we took it out side and left it in the prairie behind the house.

Other things that happened, I entered in a novel writing competition. I have to write 50,000 words bye the end of the mounth. I already have over 10,000. I think I can do it, I just have to write a lot. You get pep talks from various authors, and I was reading them. There was Meg Cabot, Gail Carleson, and a few others that I knew. Then there was Lemony Snicket. His pep talk was not very peppy. He mostly talked about how hard it is to write a book, and that we should all just give up. I ignored his pep talk.

I'm going to spend the night at Neg's house this weekend. I'm excited because we're going to do a skit at their church. I have more lines in the skit than I do in the whole play I'm in. I play a lady named Marge who talks on the phone. JJ and Morgie Play Bears who chase Daboy around the stage. It should be interesting. Bye Bri!

  1. Hi Bri! Good idea ignoring the non-peppy pep talk. Those can be really discouraging.
