Book Review: The Adoration of Jenna Fox, Mary E. Pearson. Rated: PG-13

Jenna has just come out of a coma that took a year of her life away. Actually it's worse than that, it took her whole life away. She remembers nothing of her past, or of the accident that caused the coma. And no one in her family will tell her about it. What happened to Jenna that took her memory away? Jenna is determined to find out, but can she handle the truth?

This is an amazing book. Just amazing. It explores the ethics of future medicine, identity, and faith. This is a christian book, in my opinion. Lot's of christian values. It's beautifully written, keeping you reading. even though there is not any adventure, the mystery is gripping. This book is totally different from anything else I have read, It is thought provoking and leads you wondering what you would do in Jenna, or her parents place. How far would you go?

I rate id PG-13, but just barely. the only things I had a problem with was a bit of swearing, a scene were someone wear there pants very loosely, and a self defense scene in which someone gets racked, but other than that it's a very good book. Not much gore. some of the things that people do is questionable, but that goes along with the whole ethics and moral thing. no inappropriate elements besides, the scenes mentioned above, not even a lot of romance, except maybe two quick kisses, and one real kiss.

So I would suggest this to people who like mystery. A good age to read this, probably at least twelve, thirteen would be better. Not because of the swearing, but because it's, like Matched, rather mature, but not in the inappropriate sense. So thats my review, thanks for reading, Bye Bri π
Rated PG-13 for mild swearing and slight mature content.
