Hello! I know,i have been terrible at keeping this thing up to date, but I'm back now! So, first of all, I would like to say that I recently went to Wizard World Chicago and it was a blast!! I had plenty of fun selling my art and seeing all the cosplayers and vendors. In fact, I'm going to be doing a post about my top ten favorite cosplayers from Wizard World Chicago. They might be clever cosplays or epic cosplays or just cosplays that I really liked. I'll also post about some of my favorite things about the con, and other general stuff.
Anyway, For now, I just wanted to say thanks!
Anyone who knows me in life, knows that I am always desperate to go somewhere. Mom's going to the bank, I tag along. Dad's going to go get milk, I'm in! A friend's going to do a mundane task, let me come too! Sometimes it gets so bad that if someone won't let me come, I nearly fall to my knees, begging and pleading "Take me with you!!"

Now that I can drive myself places, it's not quite so bad. If I need to go, I can. Ok that's a lie. Under my own power, with the ability to leave at any time, it's worse than ever. I mean, going to the bank, or the library is fine, but it's just not enough. It's kind of why I started reading National Geographic Magazine a while back, so that I could see other places. It wasn't as good as actually seeing them, and mostly it just made me even more desperate, but it was something.

It's kind of funny. For a long time, there was this funny feeling in the pit of my stomach that popped up whenever I looked at a map, or whenever I thought about traveling. I used to think it was like dread or something, but that can't be right because I love going places. Then I realized it wasn't dread. It was longing. I longed to go places. I longed to see them, feel them, smell them, hear them, breathe them. I was desperate. I wanted so badly to go to another city, another state, another country, to see everything I possibly can. I wanted to experience everything. I really hope that maybe I will.

In June I'm going to go to Belize for a mission trip. Just thinking about it brings that feeling back, that lustful feeling. I am so anxious to go. Waiting for my passport, for my tickets, for June to come, is agony. Once I get there, it will only be satisfied for a bit. Once I get a taste of traveling, of true international traveling, I won't be able to get enough. I will never be satisfied by simply going to a library or the mall. Even now before I have even left it isn't enough. I am homesick for places I have never been before.

I know that to some people, that's the weirdest thing ever. 'How can you be homesick if you don't even live there? She's got to be crazy' I don't know how, I just know I am. I am so excited, it hurts. It hurts to think that I'll be leaving this country, and going to a completely different one. It's just incredible. I'm going to another country, in another continent! It's so horrible too because, every day, every hour, every minute, every second; it is getting harder and harder to wait.
I have not posted in forever! I do apologize for the months of me not really paying attention, and/or forgetting completely that I do in fact have a blog. I'm sure you all don't care in the least what I've been up to in the last few months, but I'm going to tell you anyway.

I've been working quite hard to up my art abilities, and I must say, my current art page needs a redo. (Can I just burn all that? Please?) I will probably post some pics of new art later, if anyone actually reads this mess that is supposed to be a blog post.

I have somehow managed to get into collage. Crazy right? I'm taking an American History class (Blech, I know, but they won't let me take the actually interesting history with out it :P)

I might (probably) be getting a table at Planet Comicon, so come check us out there, unless you're in another country or something, in which case don't bother, thats way to far for a comic convention. If you happen to live in the KC area, then do come, because it's actually a ton of fun, albeit a bit crowded.

I also got a really cool printer. I'm sure you are super excited about that. (Yay. Printers.) But It's freaking awesome and huge! I can scan my bigger art without so much hassle, AND It scans in high resolution so huzzah!

Oh, I can drive now too, I have a license-y thing. It's pretty cool. I can just pop over to the library whenever I want! I know right?? Awesome!! Also I have a Twitter, though I don't really know how to use it.

And that's what I've been up to! Enjoy you're Sunday!
I am a fangirl. I make fan art. I write fan fiction. I quote, I post, and I tell everyone about things I like, on Facebook, Instagram, Wattpad and my blog. It's part of being a fan. We love something so much, that we want to make it ours, and we want to show others. We say "look, I love this character so much, that I drew him" or "here, I love this couple so much that I wrote about them being together" Right now, that's fine, as long as you don't sell it. But right now, there is a bill that is being written, that will make all of that go away. It will make it illegal to be a fan.

When I heard about this, I thought "it can't be true" because, why would they punish the fans, who love things so much, that they get others to love them too? Why would they do that? But then I did some research. I found out, it's true. It would make things like Wattpad, Devianart, Fanfiction.net illegal, it would make it illegal to post pictures of favorite characters. You could end up in jail for five years for posting anything like that.

Not only will it take away public fan art and fan fiction, but it will also force several websites, such as Etsy, Flikr, Vimeo, Tumblr, Pintrest, Wikepedia, Facebook, Twiter, YouTube and countless others to over censor or even shut down. Blogs and Wiki's could be shut down as well. Music covers could become illegal. You could be arrested for uploading a video of you singing your favorite song.

Blogs and other websites like this will be blocked from search engines, and you can be fined if anyone makes a copyright infringement complaint against your website. If someone even posts a coment with a link, not you, someone else, you and your website, youtube chanel, blog or anyother social media site will be fined or even jailed.

Because of the censorship that SOPA will bring, it will make freedom of speech impossible on the internet, and, wait, isn't freedom of Speech part of the First Amendment? It's not 'Freedom of speech so long as you don't mention anything copyrighted' it's freedom of speech. And SOPA is taking that away. So don't let SOPA (or PIPA) Take away out rights as people or as Fans.
Don't Break The Internet.
Bri π
(I may have gotten somethings wrong while I did research, so look it up too, and see what you think of it)
So today we had our anual "search for educational materials" day, in which my mother handed about twelve books to each of my sisters to be their school reading lists. I was handed four.
My reading list this year is rather short (mostly because I've already read most of the tenth grade reading list that high schools recomend) so my reading list consist of:
1. The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe by Edgar Allen Poe
2. Night by Elie Wiesel
3. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
4. Watership Down by Richard Adams
There's only one book that I don't really care much for (I'm sure it's obvious) but I'm also going to take a British literature class after my first semester, so I will have more to read, I just hope it's more interesting than American literature (Puritans... *shivers*)
Also, I have to do a study guide on, wait for it..... *drumrooooooooollllllllllllllllll* Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing! Yes, I am in fact doing a study guide on a book I read in the second grade. But it's because I'm supposed to be helping my sisters with their study guides, so I ended up with the easiest book. (The others where To Kill a Mockingbird, which I have read, and Number the Stars, which I have also read)
But I am also going to be studying Latin, anatomy, speech, computer science, art, poetry and Spanish (another blech) along with my core subjects. I'm most excited about doing science, cause I didn't do much science last year, but this year I get to do EARTH SCIENCE!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!
Thanks for listening to me talk about my school work, I'm sure you don't care, but I do! So enjoy the rest of your summer, and Bye! Bri π

Here I sit, staring at two pages of nothing, trying to draw
inspiration. On the wall there are my past belts sitting on the rack, an empty
space waiting for my last colored belt. On the floor next to my bed lies my
bag, my recommended belt poking out of the top, almost yelling at me that it
wants to retire. And of course there’s my poster with a quote that I don’t
really get and a fist smashing a board. But none of those things are really
helping me right now, as I try to explain what the past eight years of my life
mean to me. It’s almost like trying to explain the color blue or the smell of
lemons. But I guess I’ll have to give it a go.

I started Tae Kwon Do when I was about seven, a tiny little
thing with long brown hair, big blue eyes, and an obsession with ninjas. I had
tried a couple different sports, gymnastics and tumbling, when one day I
decided that I wanted to do Karate. I told my parents, and they looked into it.
They then came back to me with a big negatory, as Karate was apparently too
expensive. They instead acquired a membership at the local YMCA, and shoved me
into the Tae Kwon Do class.

That first class was terrifying. There were a bunch of
people in big white uniforms with all kinds of colored belts, I felt very out
of place being in my colorful t-shirt and shorts. I was quite nervous, I didn’t
know what I was doing at first, my kicks were wobbly, my fist wrong, my stances
off, but in that first class, after I had gotten over my initial fear, I
discovered something inside of me that had finally been satisfied.

At my first testing, I felt the same fear I had felt at the
first class all over again, this time slightly different. It was strange and
new, I was unsure what to expect. I
showed what I had learned, broke my board, finished my forms, and answered
questions. One of the questions I was asked was ‘why do you do Tae Kwon Do?”
what an easy question, I thought. “Because Karate is too expensive” I answered
seriously. Everyone laughed, although I wasn’t sure why, as it wasn’t a joke.
Even though I didn’t exactly answer the question, I still got my yellow belt.

It all went up hill from there. I passed every testing, I
was going up in rank very fast, my kicks where better, my uniform snapped
(mostly), and I was loving it. About the time I got my brown belt, that’s when
we moved schools, and Action Martial Arts opened up. It was also the time I
first plateaued.

After years of going up in rank very quickly, I couldn’t
understand why I wasn’t able to test. I was just stuck, not learning anything
new, but not ready to move on either. I was getting kind of bored. After about
ten months, I did get to my red belt, vowing that I wouldn’t get stuck again.
But I did. I just couldn’t understand it, why wasn’t I able to do everything I
was supposed to?

Again it took me a year to reach the next belt, and then I
broke my toe. Breaking my toe left me unable to do it, and I got kind of lazy.
I didn’t want to go back to Tae Kwon Do. I was tired of doing the same things.
My mother did not like this attitude, and after a long talk and a motherly
shove, I went back.

I was rather rusty, I didn’t remember what I was supposed to
know, and it frustrated me. But I kept at it, and eventually, after a really long time, I tested again and I got
my red tipped belt. In keeping with the trend I had set for myself, I plateaued
again. I still couldn’t figure out why though. I would watch enviously as
people who I had started with, and people who started after me, got their black
belts. I just couldn’t comprehend how they could be doing better than me. This
time it took me two years but I eventually reached Recommended Black Belt.

After this, I was wary, afraid of plateauing, after
remembering how I had had to claw at a completely vertical cliff face until I
had finally reached the edge, only to find an even taller cliff the top.
Looking at the belts on the wall, thinking I just have one more, just one more
and your there. You can tell people you’ve done it. But I was too scared to
really try.

I found other things
to occupy my time, so I wouldn’t have to face the Cliff, I was too scared to
show that I was afraid of failing, I would cover up fact that I was filled with
self-doubt behind a wide smile, I hid the voices in my head that said, ‘you
can’t do it, you will never do it, you will fall and you won’t be able to get
back up.’ The sad thing was that I believed them.

I have always had problems with self-doubt and self-esteem.
There has always been a part of me saying that I am a failure, that I suck,
that I can’t do that. It got especially bad about three years ago, and hasn’t
really gotten any better since. I ignored it, trying to keep myself from giving
up, trying to stand up to the bully like I’ve always been told to do. But it is
hard to stand up to a bully when the bully is you.

So here I sit, my inner bully informing me that this entire
thing is a terrible idea and that I should just give up and be done with the
whole thing. But I keep going. One of the tenants of Tae Kwon Do is an
indomitable spirit, right? Like the quote above the window says; ‘Perseverance:
strength lies not in never falling, but rising every time we fall.’ It reminds
me that as I climb my cliff, if I do fall, which I will, I just have to get up,
wipe off the dust, and get right back to climbing.

As my essay comes to a close, I want to answer the question I
never finished. Why do I do Tae Kwon Do? I do it because it is something that I
love. It is something that even through all the hard things in my life has
always been a constant. I do it because, someone told me it was cool, and I want
to keep doing it for them. I do it because I have made it mine. I do Tae Kwon
Do, because it is totally and 100% me

So, now for the real question: what does Tae Kwon Do mean to
me? It means courtesy, learning to be
kind and gentle when you are angry. It means integrity, to keep strong in
honesty and to stand firm in what you believe. It means persevering, climbing the
cliff even when I am afraid. It means self-control, which is not only keeping
yourself from doing the wrong things but also to keep doing the right ones. It
means indomitable spirit, standing in the rain and facing your giants. It means
doing something someone important to me would be proud of. It means proving to the world, and to myself,
that I am capable of anything.

Nineteen year old Avery Jones can play Guitar better than anyone. She and her brothers musical duo is amazing. After her brothers death, Avery doesn't know what to do. So she lookes for somewhere new to work as a guitarist. Brutal Strength, a hugely popular rock band, is looking for a new lead guitarist, after their previous one dropped out. As a fan of the band, Avery thinks she's struck gold, until she discovers the Band won't hire a female artist. So what does Avery do? She disguises herself as a man, and joins the group anyway.

Love Evolution was... interesting. It's an adaption of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, and in at the first page I found it rather cliche, but it does get a little better. The clicheness of it actually adds to the entertainment, but hey, it's based on Shakespeare. I quite like the lead character, no matter how many times I want to smack her. She does pretty well in her attempt to be a man, no matter how ridiculous it is.

The book has references to drugs, and (Oh No!) Mobsters who threaten little girls. Some people get drunk, some people kiss, a lot, some people kiss, and then freak out because the person the kissed was allegedly a man. Some crude humor, as well as a few mentions of Doing the Do, which no one does actually do, as the main couple are a dude and another "dude" (but not really)there is also a bit of mild swearing

In all I found Love Evolution utterly cliche and entertaining. I would recommend it to people who enjoy Shakespeare and rock and roll. It is not for people who don't find cliche's entertaining, or who don't much care for Shakespeare (I am one of those people)Thanks for reading, Bri π
Rated PG-13 for Mild swearing, drugs, alcohol, intimacy, and for being ridiculous.

So, camp is in two days. Super excited! Since camp is so close, I have compiled a list of things I plan to do while I'm at camp. Enjoy!
1. When I'm drawing, and people come up to me to ask if I drew that, I will throw the sketchbook and scream, "Holy crap! I'm possesed!"
2. Whenever someone asks a dumb question I will hand them a piece of paper and say "Here's your sign"
3. If anyone comes up to me while I'm alone and says something to me, I will act suprised and say "you can see me?!"
4. Make hundreds upon hundreds of fandom references including that of, (but not limited too): Portal, THG, TMI, Percy Jackson, Divergent, Doctor Who, FMA, InuYasha, Psych, The Nightmare before Christmas, Avatar, Harry Potter, The Princess Bride,
5. Sing. Loudly.
6. Run around like a ninja/spy, making random hand gestures.
7. Yell things in Latin, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, and any other language I can think of.
8. Practice TKD (this is not so much Funny as Practical. Although it will be entertaining to see everyone else's expressions as they realize, I AM a ninja)
9. Show of my vast knowledge of useless facts and trivia.
10. Quote things, repeatedly.
So there you have it, things that I plan to do, while at camp. Hopefully I don't get in trouble. ;)
I am also quite well, and I am also tinged blue.
Yes, the color run was Saturday morning, and it is Monday afternoon. I'm quite colorful.
Also, I'm actually going to camp this year! Hurray!! I missed camp last year, but not this year!
I don't know what else to say, but I am really hyper, if you couldn't tell.
I mean, you would be hyper two if you had to wait a whole week 'till camp!
I'm so excited!!!!
And als osad, because I can't take my nano with me. So sad :(
I mean, what will i do with out my music?
And I just got new music, (Britt Nicole, if your wondering. sadly not Lindsey Stirling. Yet)
And I want to listen to it! Glarg, I need music, I go a bit crazy with out it, although I go crazy with out books too. But I can take books with me! So I'm good in that department. Just not in the music department. It'll be my first year at senior high camp, Glarg I hate being a freshman again, I don't get first pick of any of the classes. :/ But at least I get to go to my preferred camp, apposed to the one I don't want to go to.
Also, I am almost done with the picture I've been working on for a week, It just needs a bit of cleaning and also to fix a couple of buildings that look funny.
I'm still hyper.
BookWyrms it soday, but there's only going to be five of us, sadly. everyone else is at camp. :(
But hey atleast I finagled (is that the proper use of the word) my other cousin into coming!
So, yeah, five. And all of them family. me, three of my cousins, and my sister.
Bye! Bri π

Tomorrow, I shall be running in the color run. It's quite exciting. And colorful.
For those of you who don't know, the color run is a 5K in which the runners are bombarded with powered dye through out the race. The shirts you wear can be set to keep the dye in, and also possibly your hair, if I do it right. If I do it wrong, well, Who knows what will happen to my hair.
So, we have our shirts, which we decorated today (I only made two fandom references this time.) along with lots of other things to wear and be colored. I even have a tutu. Yes, a tutu. I look like I'm from the eighties. It's pretty ridiculous.
So, I have been working on the same piece for a week now. It's kind of driving me nuts. The background is giving me lots of problems.
First, I had no windows in any of the buildings, and apparently, steampunk cities still have windows, contrary to my belief.
Second, I gave them windows, and the windows look strange, and unwindow like.
Third. I'm not even half way done with the background. (ehhhhhh)
But, at least my girl looks kick butt (sort of) And she has awesome hair.
It's only been, what, three weeks? a month? and out of the seventeen books I got at the RT book convention, I have exactly, six left. Yeah...
If I hadn't read The Fault in our Stars and Elsewhere, I would have gotten more done... But I really like the ones I've read thus far! Lets see, I read Ink, Crewl, Ashes of Twilight, Soulbound, Level 2, Nobody, The Tenth Life of Mr. Whiskers, Firelight. And there where a couple that I had already read, like Bloodlines (amazing!!!) Delirium, and The Name of the Star. So, I guess I've actually only read eight. Still, thats a lot of books for three weeks/a month. And not including TFiOS and Elsewhere. Along with quite a few random manga's (is it manga's or just manga?) I found at the library.
I like books :3
Oh, by the way, I have a typewriter! It's pretty awesome, and it goes ding when there's stuff. Ok not really, it goes ding when I hit the button to many times. The point is it goes 'Ding!' And also, I have two desks in my room. It's a bit crowded in here now, but also quite cozy, albeit, slightly dificult to make my bed.
And on that bombshell, it's time to say goodnight!
So, as usual, I had a wacky dream. I don't remember much, just that I was doing something, shopping I think, and all of the sudden someone shot me three times. It was quite startling, because, when shopping, one does not expect to be shot at, although in this society, they ought to. Anyway, so I was being shot at, and it was just so bizarre, because I was thinking about how, people always say that gunshot wounds hurt, but mine didn't. So I decided to go take out my shooter. I ran in the direction of my attacker, and I saw the back of their head, and then I was being tackled by my mother. She started freaking out and shaking me because I was shot and bleeding, I said, "you don't shake the mortally wounded person. It really doesn't help"
Then I woke up sleeping on the completely other side of the bed than I went to sleep on.
Yup, my subconscious is rather entertaining, and also somewhat scary and morbid.
In other news, our air conditioning is back on the fritz. But today, someone is coming to fix it, I plan to hide in my room, as I often do when people I don't know come to the house.
Oh! I'm finally got done with story boarding!! Now, I just need to write script, then re story board. And about five million other things.
I need to go now, as I must clean my room, do school, and other sundry things.
As I am doing school, lots of random things pop into my head. Such as, Portal, lemons, cake, potatoes... actually, all these things are Portal related.
Funny how that works.
In other news, there isn't anything interesting going on. I have some plans tomorrow, and I have school to get done.
Also, I'm suposed to be working on something for the library art contest. Every year I have been given a low score, and this year I plan to punch those... Judges... in the face with my awesomeness. They don't seem to understand that I am an impressionist. They just think I'm sloppy. And they claim to teach art...
But I must accept, like Van Gogh, that I will likely be the only person to appreciate my art for a, rather long, while.
Sigh.
My last piece I entered, I really wanted to label, "this is impressionistic" but instead I called it "View from Afar"
I will show them. They will rue the day they gave me a bad score!
I now must go. Good day my readers, enjoy your day, and burn lifes house down. With lemons.

Hazel is a professional sick person. Thats her job. Diagnosed with stage IV thyroid cancer at the age of twelve, Hazel has accepted the fact that she will die, eventually. So, her mother throws her into a support group for cancer teens. It's incredibly ridiculous. Until the arrival of Augustus Waters. Handsom, in remission, and, to her disbelief, interested in Hazel. And thus starts their attempts to understand, life, death, and the legacy they will leave.

This book was awe inspireing (at least, it was for me). Incredible wit, Spectacular foreshadowing and symbolism, and thought provoking content. It is absolutely beautiful. It shows Cancer patients as they are, not the hero we make them out to be. I also quite enjoy hazels cynical view on the world. Her opinions are just as comical as they are true. Agustus, what can I say about him that will do him justice? Welll, He's just one big metaphor. The book gives a hilariously poetic look on life.

Even though it is brilliant, I did rate it PG-13. First off, I would like to say, John Green did a very good job of showing how teenagers act, in all their (Im)Mature thoughts and statments. They swear, make crude comments about each other,They make crude comments about other things, they smoke (sort of), They drink, and, yes, at one point they do "It". It's not very detailed, it sort of skips over the actual doing, it's just implied.

But besides all that, this book is still amazing. Tear jerking, comedic, intelligent, and romantic, The Fault in our Stars is a beautifully written novel that will most likely leave you crying and pondering, what is the fault in our stars.
I would recommend this book to people who like romance and comedy. It is not for people who get offended easily or who don't much like rude and crude teens. Thanks for reading! Bri π
Rated PG-13 for: Mature content, drinking, mild swearing, and intimacy
Recently, OK, more like a couple months ago, I was introduced to the amazingness that is Blimey Cow.
What is Blimey Cow you ask?
Blimey Cow is a group of people who make hilarious videos that make you think. I especially enjoy their homeschooler videos.
Now why do I tell you this? Because it's awesome and funny and I love it! I am a Blimey Cow Fangirl. (Would that make me a Blimey Cowgirl?)
In other News, Books Wyrms (my recently created Book club for Homeschooling teens) has made the Library Events list for the Summer!! Yay!!!! Perhaps we shall have more people than just those I pester into coming. Also, if anyone happens to know of any books starting with the letters X Y or Z that would be great! Because as we where deciding what to read in June, someone (*cough*, Noah *cough, cough*) sugested we do books starting with X. We all thought "Hey! That sound fun! Lets do it!"
We came up with nothing.
So, we made itr a little wider.
And still I find nothing.
So, your help would be great! Thanks my dear readers, and enjoy Your day!
P.S. I totally forgot! I'm entering my Pickles story into a writing contest!! Ok that is all.

Far into the future, like really really far, there was a girl with Magical powers.
Now this was a good thing, because in her world there where also zombies, dreadful things, these zombies. They where incredibly gruesome in an almost comical way. Now, this girl lived in one of the last safe places for our kind, Humans that is, as the zombies kind of just killed everyone else. It was a town called Gracia, and it was a hop, a skip, and threes days walk from the great city of Anza, which was completely overrun.
Now being a Magic user, every one in the town used the girl, forcing her to help them, and treating her badly when she did, and no one ever asked her name, she was simply called Girl.
then during a long famine, She looked at the world she was in, And got fed up with it.
"Thats it!" she cried "I'm going to Anza and I will bring back suplies with Magic! So take that universe!!"
So she gathered up her friends, which mostly consisted of a her Sister, a cat, and a boy who looked suspiciously like The Doctor, and they headed out, on their three days journey across the undead desert, into the Hordes of Anza.
They arrived, looking out into the sea of bodies,

"Can't you just say 'Magicy magic!" and make them go away?" asked the suspicious Doctor Boy, whose name was also suspiciously John.
"sorry, doesn't work like that" she explained.
"well how does it work?" Josn asked quite rudly.
She smiled, looked back at the Zombies, waved her hands around a bit and exclaimed "Like this!"
Then with all that build up, her magic made a zooping sound and spectacularly, nothing happened.
"was that suposed to happen?" asked her sister, whose name was Kay
The Girl laughed awkwardly. "no"
"well thats just fantastic, we've got a defective witch and a horde of zombies."
"I'm not a witch!" exclaimed The Girl "I need tuna!"
Both Kay and John looked at her sceptically, but not the cat, as he was busy licking himself.
"you need what?"
"Tuna"
Kay and John looked at each other "why?"
She rolled her eyes. "because it fuels magic, every one knows that"
"nope, I'm pretty sure that was a little known fact about tuna, which are also extinct"
"lets get back to Gracia and we'll discuss it there"
so the group of merry men, and a cat, raced back to Gracia. what they found was foreboding.
"The gate is locked, and also someone put up as sign." said John. he took a quick look at the sign. "Foreboding" it read.
"well thats foreboding" Kay said. The other groaned.
"is there any way to get us back in there?" asked John toward The Girl.
"perhapes..." so The girl plucked a rather large bobby pin from her hair, then placed it carefully in the lock. after quite a bit of jiggling, they heard a loud Click, and the lock fell off. The Girl pushed the door open.
Inside the gates to Gracia, was a Zombie. it was running around chasing the Mayor, while a crazy hippie was chasing the Zombie, exclaiming that he should spread love, not infectious diseases.
Everyone else found that quite sickening. The zombie moaned.
the Girl, with one of her last bits of Tuna magic, cast the Zombie into Where ever things go when she magically makes them disappear.
"so any one happen to know where one can find tuna?" asked The Girl.
The Mayor looked at her in disbelief , while the hippie mourned the loss of his undead pal.
"Are you mad Girl? Tuna have been extinct for generations!"
"yeah well, I need them"
"Magic them!" The mayor exclaimed.
The Girls face lit up. "Hye thats a good idea!' Then with her very last bit of magic she created a large pile of canned tuna.
at this John looked like his face would explode. "you could do that all this time, and you didn't? why not!?"
The Girl shrugged. "I didn't think about it"

And then I woke up.

(Ink will be released in July this year, I have an advanced reader copy)

After her mother's death, orphaned Katie Greene must up root her New York life and move half way across the world, to live with her aunt in Japan. Her new life is full of foreign culture, new language, and of course, cute Japanese boys. Tomohiro is one such boy, but there's something strange about him. Ink reacts strangely when he's in a room, Drawing almost seem to move. thats a bad thing, because some drawings can cause more damage than just a paper cut...

This book was very interesting to me. I really enjoyed the Japanese culture and language thats put in, along with Japanese folklore and myth, which for a folklore girl like me, is quite fun. There is a glossary in the back, for those of us who don't speak Japanese. There's quite a bit of action and romance, plus a little intrigue. Because one of the main characters is an artist, there are little sketches through out the book, which I found quite nice, I haven't read a teen book with drawing in them in a while. one thing I really liked was an ongoing argument about what makes you human and what makes you a monster (It isn't very deep I would love to see the author go further into that in the next books)

The book does have some drawbacks, One of them being swearing, both in English and Japanese. There's also some bloody injury's, a couple of gun shoot wounds and a sliced wrist, along with other less bloody injury. The romance of the book is mostly kept to kissing, but there are some slightly more passionate scenes, but they get cut short, and of course, there's also a bit of lying to adults and your average teenager total disregard for what ever your guardian tells you.

Ink is part of a series of books by debut author Amanda Sun, called The Paper Gods, Ink being the first of the series. I would recommend this book to Otaku and anyone interested in Japanese culture and mythology. I would not recommend it to people who don't like blood, as it can get quite bloody at times. In all Ink is a great book, with an interesting take on Japanese mythology, a driving romance, and enough action to keep you on your toes.
Thanks for reading my new and improved Review
So, how about a post where I'm not half asleep and delirious, eh?
Spider: Woah! Hey wai- *squish*
Yup. I don't take kindly to spiders, not even taking ones. Actually, especially not talking ones. I mean, we all know what happened to Harry and Ron.
So this evening, as we where eating, JJ kept interupting Morgan, trying to be funny. JJ was yelling random things, and combined a couple of sentences in her haste and ended up saying "Pantry sword"
Of course, being the people we are, I grabbed one of our handy dandy swords (we have several of them, and we keep them all over the house) and stuck it in the Pantry.
My mom walked over, saw what I was doing and said "No" she then removed the sword from the inside of the pantry, closed the pantry doors, then stuck the sword in the door handles.
And thus, the Pantry Sword.
Thanks for reading!
In some parts of the book people start talking in Japanese and I am quite proud of my self, as I have apparently picked up a bit of Japanese from all the Subbed Anime I have been watching recently. All be it, most of what I have learned is either insulting or profane, but hey, you've got to start some were right?
So more on my language skills. I can swear in Latin.
I can swear and insult people in Japanese, and then I can thank them and tell them to sit.
I can have a sort of conversation in Spanish
I can say random animals in French
I can sing in Italian and Chinese
I can say "your cat is a jerk" in Turkish
I can say a couple of phrases in Welsh and Gallic (or I used too, not sure if I can remember them anymore)
I can count in Korean and also give military commands.
And of course I am mostly proficient in English.
Those are my language skills. They are rather impressive. I can insult a large variety of people. Woo hoo!! Offending people Internationally!
Thanks for reading my blog, especially my middle of the night, grammatically incorrect ones!
Today I attended the RT book convention. I met Veronica Roth, Richelle Mead, Carrie Ryan, Rachel Vincent, Cynthia Hand, S.R. Johannes, Heather Brewer, Myra McEntire, and several other authors. I got to meet them, and they signed my books. and I said Thank You.
But when I said thank you, I said it for more than just signing my paperback. I was thanking them all they have given me. The lives they have let me live. For writing. I was thanking them for writing.
I almost started crying.
These people, they are my idols. You may idolize singers, actors, sports figures or others. I idolize authors. These are people that I have dreamed of meeting for as long as I have read their books.
and no matter how many times I said thank you, I couldn't exactly convey how much this meant to me, the fact that they write, that they make these beautiful stories that let me escape, that make me feel like I'm not alone in the world. They have given me more friends than I can count. They have made me laugh, and cry, and smile, and want to punch fictional people in their faces. They have given me so much, and I can't even tell them how important it all is to me.
Every time I read a new book, it feels so real to me, that these are real people, living their real lives. and It's not till I get done with the book that it hits me. This was written by someone. Someone stayed up for days on end to write this. Someone slaved over this for months. Someone went back, and rewrote it over and over and over. Someone found people to read it, getting over their own fears of rejection. Someone made these people, invented this world. Someone gave them life. And that's why I idolize them.
They write these beautiful, playful, funny, dark, amazing, light, happy, depressing, romantic, terrifying, epic, piercing, thought provoking, historical, creepy, sweet, wild, incredible, ridiculous, stories.
That's what hit me today, when I met them. That they are real people, not just names on the cover of a book, not just pictures on the back of a hardcovers jacket. they are real, and they wrote this.
and it made me almost cry. Because it was just so awesome. In the literal sense of the term. It struck me with awe.
So Thank you all the authors out there, all of you who write these books, that make the worlds, that give us our escapes.
You are my heroes.
I have discovered the Meaning of Life.
No, it is not 42, as that is the answer to the question of Life, The Universe and Everything.
The Meaning of life, is a completely different matter. Honestly, I don't know how philosiphers haven't been able to figure it out, it's very simple.
The meaning of Life is: The animate existence, or period of animate existence of an object.
I mean really, all they had to do was go look in a dictionary. Heck, they could have just Googled it. Now, after that quick Epiphany, I'm not entirely sure what to type in my delirious, half asleep state at 11:40 at night.
Perhaps I shall write about cats. Cats are fun.
Mine is a small, insane, spastic, Jerk-faced feline named Ten, as you are all aware. and at the moment, I'm entirely unsure as to his location. I should probably fix this. but not yet, as I'm not done deliriously, half asleep typing.
What other great problems can I fix with a cursory glance at a dictionary and/or Google?
None much that I can think of.
Well, if you really want to know the answer to Everything, I suggest reading a book, the most gloriously hilarious book known to man, and possibly the rest of the universe.
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
It is, in fact, the funniest thing I have ever read.
I highly recommend it to anyone who is animatly existing or in a period of animate existance.
Good Night! You are welcome for my help in your search for the meaning of your Existence*
Bye! Bri π

*Existence: Noun. The fact or state of living or having objective reality
Life: Noun. The animate existence, or period of animate existence of an object.

Hello my readers! I hope you are having a wonderful month of April. Mine has been fine. I went to comicon! It was rather exciting. I saw some of my friends there, and some of them I nearly punched because they snuck up on me (you, yes, you! You know who I'm talking about) I didn't find anything of interest that I bought, everything I wanted was quite a bit out of my price range, but I did find an InuYasha manga, and I got that. I recently discovered that I very much like InuYasha, along with several other anime shows. My favorites are InuYasha and Fullmetal Alchemist, but I like Black Butler and Naruto too. Any way, So for my book club we are reading Action Adventure books. So I'm facing my fear and reading The Forest of Hands and Teeth. Just the name makes me shiver. I really hate zombies. Besides the ones in Warm Bodies. That movie was quite awesome. Earlier I told my sister that I got a papercut, and her first response was "Don't pour lemon Juice on it"
Well gee, there go my plans for the day.
I have just noticed that my mannequin is staring at me creepily... Ok.... well, I must now leave, as I do not want to be killed by a wooden art doll. Have good day, and don't pour lemon juice on your injuries. Bye! Bri π

It's very true.
Yesterday the universe decided to be nice to me. I went to the library, while still only number two on the waiting lit for something, and i went to look t the holds an there it was!! My book! (Well actually it was a tv show, and a book) and i literally whisper yelled "take that universe!"
Today I have a friend over. It's Cookie. She says hi and also that there is ice in her cup. Last night we stayed up watching Psych. It was fun. I mean, what could be better than staying up late watching Psych? Well, perhaps Doctor Who. Or reading.
The other day i was watching InuYasha, and this girl had a cat and it made this awful noise, like a large metal thing going through a blender. And the girl acted like it was totally normal. And i was just sitting there in shock, like "thats not what a cat sounds like!"
Cookie says she owns the internet. The internet is very big, as Cookie says. She drew a pig, and she says it looks like a potato. Yay potato pig!!
Hi im cookie! Surprisingly i dont like cookies. Though i do like pie. Yummy! Im sitting in a chair. It is a lovely chair its name is fred. It shall be my fred chair forever! Be free fred the chair!
And that was a lovely little piece from Cookie. Cookie and I must now go track down Fred the chair, as she let it go free, and it took that literally and ran away. Thanks for reading, Bri Piaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh..... (The chair got her)
And Cookie. Brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14295953380747591200noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8284877600487218661.post-24237278739476964052013-03-18T13:06:00.001-05:002013-03-18T13:06:44.088-05:00The sky...

Is big. yep. I'm observant. So... do you have awkward moments? cause I do. Like, That awkward moment when your best friend stabs herself with a wooden dagger. That awkward moment when you suddenly feel the urge to randomly collapse on the floor. That awkward moment when you start thinking of internal organs while eating your breakfast cereal. that awkward moment when a banana falls out of the sky and you just look up and think "where did that come from?" that awkward moment when your friend turns to you and says "what was I going to say?" with tally marks on her arms and face. That awkward moment when you run out of awkward moments.
Yep. Lots of fun....
Last night I watched a movie called 'Jurassic Park' it was an interesting movie, in which there where dinosaurs and stupid people who don't understand how to stay alive in thrillers. Honestly people it's not that hard. Take more than one gun, never run off by your self, and don't blink. Also, velociraptors are not weeping angels. Looking at them will not make them freeze. Although, if I where in a horror movie, I would probably die, because I would be like "Oh my goodness!! Is that a- oh hey look I'm dead, well how did that happen?" I'm just that intelligent. I often die in video games by doing stupid things. Like not looking where I'm going and falling into the toxic sludge. or accidentally catching myself on fire, or walking right into an explosive. Yep stupid stuff my that. I am also not very good at controlling both sticks at the same time. so I often spin around confused because I can't decide whether or not I want the stick inverted. I'm very easy to defeat. well, I have to go because I need to prepare for my book club, enjoy your Monday, Peace! Bye Bri π
